At the mouth of Kenya’s mighty Tana River, nestled among the palms, the high rolling dunes of the Tana delta look out upon unparalleled landscapes – lush, wild and dramatically beautiful.
The Tana River winds slowly out from the plains providing a rare wetland home to hippo, crocodiles and rainbows of birds. Baboons, bushbuck and many other wild creatures inhabit the windswept dunes, which on the ocean side lead down to a deserted beachfront stretching for 50 kilometers along the wild Indian Ocean shore. Littered with driftwood and ancient bones, the beach is a skeleton coast of collectables.
